While located Illishiem Germany, SFC Smith demonstrated his exceptional work ethic and drive by becoming certified on four tactical Army Aviation pacing items: the Air Traffic Navigation Integration and Coordination System (ATNAVICS), Tactical Airspace Integration System (TAIS), Tactical Terminal Control System (TTCS), and Air Traffic Control Central.
