    Thomas Anders is a German pop singer, actor, and composer, best known as the former lead vocalist of the disco group "Modern Talking".

    Born in Germany, Thomas grew up in a musical household, with his father, who was a mayor, encouraging his passion for music. He sang in a church choir and took piano lessons for almost ten years, also teaching himself how to play the guitar.

    In 1980, Thomas won the show hosted by Michael Schanze, and his first single "Judy" was released the same year.

    It was then that he adopted the stage name Thomas Anders.
